Born near Dublin in 1906, Samuel Beckett is one of the most important writers of the 20th Century. He lived in London and Paris and wrote both in English and French. In short, I find his novels and plays filled with hilarious despair and extremely visual. In my mind, I see every scene - the street or road, the landscape, the characters themselves - all in a rich panorama. While living in New York, I first discovered Beckett when I noticed a book with a curious title, “Molloy”. I was hooked - reading most of his work and attending every play presented in New York City. I look forward to sharing my interpretations of many Beckett characters as I have sought to bring them to life.

exhibition a success!
Opening night at InArt Gallery was a “HAPPENING”, with plenty of visitors attending. To compliment an exhibition of the paintings, an actor read from Beckett’s work, and a few unique props were lying about. All those involved with the exhibit, plus friends and gallery members, dressed in typical Beckett tramp clothes and wore black bowlers. Videos of “Happy Days” and "Waiting for Godot" played, as well as Philip Glass’ music for “Company” and an audio recording of “Krapps Last Tape”
